Lyle and Sherry's Visit - part 3 - MISC

After searching out the perfect length screw at Lowe's, Grandpa and Ethan mounted his bike bell. Ethan was excited as the bell not only rings, but lights up, too!

Grandma and Ethan bonding :)

Ethan says he is no longer her "butter bug" because he is too old :(

Breakfast time was quite the ordeal while Grandpa was visiting. The kids knew he loved his fruit (mainly bananas and oranges) in the mornings and that meant that with one look from their puppy dog eyes, THEY would get fruit, too! ;)

"Ehhh!!!" (translation: I want some of that banana, too!)

Don't worry. Grandpa didn't forget the baby :)

Thursday, May 31st

Waiting for Mom to get ready so her and Dad could leave on their TWO NIGHT Anniversary Get-Away!!!!!! Thanks again Lyle and Sherry for watching the kids for us!

Just before leaving on our mini-trip.

I would just like to note that I DO have other outfits, but it seems I only take pictures in this one! ;)

While Dad and Mom were away, Grandparents and kids played!

Gpa and Gma took the kids on a bike/trike/scooter ride.

Trust me, it TAKES 2 people!!!

Ethan's almost as tall as Grandma!

Look at their feet....and Krystin's through the book.

Kaylin wanted a feet shot, too ;)

Family cuddles just before bedtime on Sat, June 2nd

On Sunday afternoon (June 3) the boys played Monopoly Jr while the girls took naps.

Lyle and Sherry's Visit - Part 4 - the Zoo on June 3rd

Sunday, June 3rd was Lyle and Sherry's last full day here. So we skipped church (gasp!) and enjoyed God's wonderful nature and animals (not to mention family) by going to our local zoo. The zoo is not very big, so we were able to get to all the decent attractions in under 2 hours then have a picnic lunch. Fun Day.

The Zoo had a mini-Carousel

Shortly after Krystin rode a camel, she got to see a live one.

I love how you can see the kids' faces in the reflection.

The Zoo is located in a beautiful tree-filled park.

We ate our picnic lunch in the shade. It was a nice ending to a fun trip - not just the zoo, but Lyle and Sherry's visit. Unfortunately they left the next day. Time flew like it always does.

Thanks again for the wonderful visit, Grandpa and Grandma!

More pics coming soon

I've managed to catch up on most of May (see below posts).
Hopefully within a couple days I will get around to posting pics from Lyle and Sherry's visit (5/25-6/4).
And then, don't hold your breath, but before August I hope to post pictures of June and the 4th of July!
Speaking of which......
Happy 4th of July Everyone! What an awesome country to live in! God Bless America!
Kaylin is sure that she is NOT going to be scared of the fireworks this year because she is THREE....... I'm not totally discounting the possibility of spending another 4th celebration in the van just yet - especially with Krystin going, too. ;) Stay tuned in AUGUST ;) to see how the fireworks were enjoyed by the Collingwoods!

May 13 - Mothers' Day

Just a glimpse into my life as a Mother of a 5, 3, and 19month old.
All I wanted was a nice picture of me with my 3 favorite children on Mothers' Day......
Enjoy the progression :)

May 9, 2007 CAUTION!!!!! Boobies Picture in this Post!!!!!

I'll refrain from calling you a SICKO for looking anyway - but only because I know that YOU know this is a FAMILY FRIENDLY Blog! ;)
Anyway the following CHICKEN Boobies were grilled by me (Britt). I was fairly proud of how they turned out. I've decided to actually grill some more this summer. (Dan has been the griller up until now). Anyway, enjoy the few pics from this posting of a random meal.

Kaylin enjoying a thigh. I believe this is her first piece ever of eating the chicken off the bone.

Ethan loves the drumsticks :)

May '07 - Dan's Birthday

30 presents for Dan's 30th Birthday on May 15th.
(The big bag held 21 small presents)
I forgot to take an "after" pic - but it was mostly Fly Fishing gear. He has expressed an interest in Fly Fishing as a hobby. Hopefully he will be able to go with an avid fisherman from church sometime soon.

Dan chose Key Lime Pie for his dessert

Krystin really liked the pie!

The kids were REALLY good about watching Dad open his presents.......Except Krystin who was on a Key Lime Pie Sugar high :)
